Sacred Space
The Sacred Space Company and the Sacred Space concept came about because we wanted to create spaces that were designed and built with loving intention and inspiration.
We realise that buildings’ interiors & exteriors do affect people in many different ways throughout the limitless spectrum of emotions. Often, in todays profit motivated society, buildings are created with little consideration on their impact but with a major focus on profitability. It is almost as if all the greed, tension and negativity that surrounds this profit seeking ethos is somehow made manifest in the appearance and feel of the building or space.
Sacred - adj dedicated or appropriated to some person or purpose.
Central to the Sacred Space ethos is to create spaces that appear and feel at one, not only with their environment, but also with you, the Client. Our aim is for our designs to take into consideration all of your needs, whether they are spoken or just inferred. We want the spaces we design and create to make you feel as though you have almost stepped into yourself, to allow you to focus on yourself, for it to feel sacred to you, for that is the aim of any good design. We work closely with our Clients to find what it is that connects them, what inspires them, what helps them focus. We then create a space around them, around their personality. We do this by designing an experience for them.
Although we create meditation spaces and buildings specifically for spiritual pursuit, most of our designs are centred around a practical purpose or need. Even so, we still aim to find each of our Client’s inspiration and develop a design that invokes a connection, whether it is acknowledged as spiritual or not.
We do not try to achieve a spiritual experience through our sacred spaces; we create spaces to inspire a spiritual experience.

Everybody’s space grows from a different idea or concept and can range from a Meditation Room or Dojo, Luxurious Bedroom or Cellar Bar to an Underground Swimming Pool or Leisure Complex. No one idea is more valid than another; the only purpose is for it to be sacred to you and for it to be your sanctuary.
